I ate at Kanchans a few days ago and the taste of the food and its presentation is still on my lips. I have been eating quality home-cooked curries all my life and this is definitely in the same league. THe waiters were humble and very honest, but above all, clearly committed to high food standards. Well done!- I can''t wait to get back.

I''ve been here 3 times and all i can say about this place is their starters are quiet good (Jinga Prawns) but the curries are tasteless and extremely bland. Their menus are grubby and badly need updating. Only redeeming factor is the attentive staff, nice decor & live music. If you want a tasty curry give this place a wide birth, very dissapointing.

Went to Kanchans in Ilford for a meal with friends. Service from waiters terrible the were rude and arrogant. Food was ok. Decor was a little different to your normal run of the mill east end curry houses.

A high class indian cuisine. Not the normal run of the mill Indian restaurant. I needed to have the menu explained. Great ambiance with musicians sitting on the floor. Exceptionally high quality cutlery and plates. This is an art in itself. The food was ''exquisite''. Subtle flavourings and I was very impressed. The prices are high...but for a special occasion - try it.
