The George is a complete dive, the door staff rude and unlicensed and I have spotted under 18''s in there that the ''door staff'' claimed to have asked for ID. I''d recommend staying away from this pub.

I used to come here regularly when I was 18-20 because it was very lively, packed and full of young college/university/a-level students. It is not exclusively that age group of course, but being a Wetherspoons means the drinks were never too expensive. It is a big place but it never seemed that big on the inside. Craig tells me that even today it is packed full on Monday, Friday and Saturday. "It''s all going down there, excellent for a quick drink / cheap too! Before you go on elsewhere." he says." - Rating 7/10.
