I grow up in ilford, and the older I got the more I realised how much I hate the smell, the stink, the people, the attitude, the dirty looks, the scumbags, the shops in ilford lane. Need I go on!

louiesea i think you are very unfair andf rude in sayin all that about ilford. ilford is a beautful place, lots of green land, hardly any rubbish, and well, people like you enfluance young children to spit on the streets, you are unfair. i hope everyone living in ilford agrees with me on this matter, thank you.

Is there still an Art Gallery (i.e. Gallerie Art) at 23 York Road, Ilford?

Ilford is dirty, smelly, the children that live here are rude. Everyone spits everywhere. People think it's fine to pee in the street. Most people throw their rubbish in the street. Nobody lokks before crossing the road and at the zebra crossing by Pioneer Market you have to commit suicide to cross the road because everyone in Ilford gets their driving license off the internet and nobody really knows how to drive.

I went to Gearies Secondary School up to November 1958 to Australia - would like to hear from anyone who also was there. Will be returning in August 2003 for a visit.

I left Gants Hill in November 1958 and will be returning for a holiday for the first time in August, 2003. I would be interested to hear from other class mates.

PLEASE PLEASE keep the streets of Ilford clean. It's filthy nowadays, especially there is an ongoing strike by UNISON at targeted areas. Any who works, lives and plays there will like a cleaner environment. It'll promote a good town image and promote values to lifestyle, house-values and morales.

I'm looking for a picture of the Manor House of Ilford that used to run the St Nicholas Catholic Boy's School out of it during the late 1800s. Any ideas where I might be able to locate a copy would be greatly appreciated.

Can we all pick up our own rubbish please. The streets of Ilford are filthy some mornings, especially by Ilford Station. If Ilford looks nice, more people will come here. Value of property will keep rising.
