- Electronics shop raided by police
DH Wings Electronics in Green Lanes was raided by police and the Federation against Copyright Theft who found thousands of pounds of illegal electrical equipment.

- Epping Forest Country Club sold
Epping Forest Country Club has been sold to a health club operator. The new facilities will open in two years, while The Atlantis nightclub on the site which shut last month, will be demolished.

- It's been a quiet week
Nothing interesting has happened last week. Because of the Queen Mother's death the papers are full of tributes to her. With the 2 Bank Holidays last week if anything interesting did happen there was probably no time to write about them.

- The Queen will visit Redbridge!
Can you believe it? The Queen will be visiting Redbridge briefly as part of the celebrations for her golden jubilee. She along with Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting an allotment in Redbridge Lane West which an organisation uses to show people with learning difficulties to grow their own vegetables. Thursday May 9th is the date.

- Celebrity packed Ilford!
Linda Robson who played Tracey in 'Birds of a Feather' visited The Exchange to launch a cookery book.
Michelle Collins who played Cindy Beale in Eastenders will be a guest speaker at a fundraiser lunch and auction on Friday April 26th for Redbridge Victim Support. (Tickets £30, call Jan Scott on 0208 551 5500 for more info).
Pam Rhodes who presents Songs of Praise was at the rededication service at a newly refurbished church in South Woodford last week.
