The good and the bad

The first Ilford Farmers' Market opens in town next week. Submitted: 29 Aug 2003

The farmers market opens on the 5th and 6th of September at 9am on the pedestrianised part of the High Road in Ilford Town Centre next to Boots. There will be a wonderful selection of locally grown food on offer, with plenty of free tasters for customers to try and customers can meet the farmers and producers that made the food. The market has been organised by Reg Woda, Ilford Town Centre Manager in conjunction with London Farmers’ Markets. The market will be held on the first Friday and Saturday of each month. The first market will take place on the 5th & 6th September. Friday hours are 9 - 3, Saturday hours 9 - 2.

When? The next markets will be: 3rd and 4th October, 31st October and the 1st November, 5th and 6th December

Where? The market will be held on the pedestrianised pavement on Ilford High Rd, between Clements Road and Oakfield Road.
