| 08/02/2009 | Review from visitor jo | Overall rating 8/10 | | | nice sofa seating area, friendly atmosphere. great point- now serving great freshly cooked food including(PIE MASH AND LIQUOR)lovely! | | | 01/11/2008 | Review from visitor Benny S | Overall rating 10/10 | | | UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!!
When driving past the place looks small inside, I went in and theres couchs to the right to chill and relax in and the bar to the left. Next to the bar on the left side is 2 pool tables and a mini dance floor, for Live bands and gigs which the new manager said would be coming very soon!
They show all lives Sports inc Premiership football, which is my main reason to go to the pub!
But to the people with comments below, check it out, the new management has cleaned this place up, he just took over. (end of Oct 08) | | | 11/05/2008 | Review from visitor Neighbour | Overall rating 0/10 | | | White Hart, Woodford Bridge - This pub is a blight on the local neighbourhood for many years. The customers who sit outside at the back seem unable to hold any conversations without shouting at the top of their voices. They often continue this until 1-2am at night, long after the pub has shut. The customers also often boom music at window-shaking volume from vehicles in the car park. The sooner this place gets knocked down the better for the long-suffering neighbours. | | | 06/02/2002 | Review from visitor Nigel | Overall rating 8/10 | | | This pub was formerly very dark and dingy. If you went there when it was like this, you have got to try it now. They have had a major refit in Sep 2001. They have made it larger, put in some very modern equipment, it looks like a cross between a pub and a trendy wine bar. They have digital jukeboxes (although I don''t know if they are working yet). I''ve been told they are the type which gets its music beamed into it down a line of some sort so there is no messing about with CDs. They have a big screen and multiple televisions scattered throughout. There are a couple of tables with a dedicated TV built into the wall next to it. There are a couple of sofas, and stools as well as regular tables and chairs.
The staff are young and are extremely helpful and friendly. There are quite a few pool tables, and a game is quite expensive, between ?1 and ?2 if I remember rightly.
Post-pub hunger is satsfied by a chippy just down the road.
Conclusion
Wonderful decor which has raised the rating from a 2 as it was before the refit to an impressive 8. Wooden shiny floor, modern furniture and bar. Nice lighting, nice and bright.
