- Dead body found at Barkingside station
Barkingside station was closed from approx 7:10am to 13:25pm because the body of a woman aged in her 40's was found inside. The cause is unexplained so far. As of late afternoon there were two policemen standing on the platform guarding the entrance to two doors accessed from the platform - a training room and a door marked 'private' next to it.

- Man killed at bus stop
Early Saturday 31st March a man was stabbed to death in an argument in Chapel Road, Ilford.

- Faces raided
On Thurday night somewhere in the region between 100 and 200 police (variable depending on the news source you read) stormed Faces nightclub in a raid for drugs after months of planning. It must now reapply for its licence.

- Newbury Park bus station is tourist hidden gem
To celebrate British Tourist Week, the BBC asked some famous people for their 'hidden gem' places to visit.
Of them, Tony Robinson (famous for playing Baldric in Blackadder and for presenting Time Team) was asked about his..and he picked Newbury Park bus station!!
