| Searching for Robert Elston and Eddie Elston | | I am looking for any information on my uncles Robert Elston and Eddie
Elston, they are half brothers with the same father, Edward Percy
Elston, who died in 1954. Eddie was in the RAF, in his teens, Eddie
married a lady called Doreen, they had wedding photos taken by Eric W
Jackson, 15 Goodmayes Rd, Seven Kings 9060, they were in their 20's,
and it was probably in the 1950's maybe early 1960's. They emigrated to
America, I don't know if they came back, I think he went to work for an
eletrical company. I am desperate to find any surviving relatives that
I may have, or any information about them, if you know any thing at
all. Please contact me.
The following account may help to jog anyone's memory.
Thank you,
Nikki Morris (

I'm looking for 3 people, that I
know of and any others who may be related, I'll start with Eddie/Edward
Elston, he was born sometime between 1935-1939, possibly in Canada and
I think his mother was Swiss, she may have married a doctor
(gynaecologist), after her relationship/marriage, with Edward Percy,
ended.

This
picture of Eddie had the date
10th September 1945, stamped
on the back, the badge on his
lapel is the Insignia of the The
Staffordshire Regiment, don't
know how he would have got
the badge.

The photo of Eddie
to
the right, has Southend
stamped on the front. |

Eddie was in the RAF when
he was a teenager, think he
was a flyer, it was probably
late 50's early 60's, We
think he had an
award/medal for being
the youngest something
or other? He was
possibly 6'4"

Eddie
married a girl
called Doreen, I
don't know her
surname or anything.
That was Eddie &
Doreens' Wedding
day, as you can
see it was taken
in Goodmayes,
(probably), the
address is now a
mobile phone shop.
Don't know the year.

Here is
a photo of Doreen & Her
Friend Nessie, and a copy of the
back of the photo.

To the
right<>, Eddie, Doreen and Gay (Eddies'
half sister, my mum).
Eddie and Doreen were said to have
moved to America, possibly California,
after they married, Eddie may have
gone there and worked for a big Electrical
company? That was the last we know of them.
Eddies' father was Edward Percy Elston,
he was born 6th October 1904, at 136
Hollybush Street, Plaistow, West Ham, his
parents were, Ernest Edward Elston &
Fanny (nee Poole). Edward Percy died in
West Ham, 24th November 1956, at the
time of his death, he was living with Mavis
Widdowson (my grandmother, they were not
married), they had 2 children, Karen Gay
(known as Gay) & Carol-Ann Joy (known
as Joy).>

|
Edward
Percy Elston had a best-friend /
business partner, Harry Cook.
The picture is of Edward Percy
lston, sitting in front row, the
man on the right as you
look, with his legs crossed over.
Harry Cook is the man on the
left, front row.

The photo to
the left is of Edward Percy,
looks like it's taken on a boat,
don't know who the other are,
would be nice to know though,
Edward is on the right (holding a
pipe, I think). |
Photo to the
right is Edward with
his Coat Hanger Business,
(he invented them), think
it was taken in
Wolverhampton,
which is where he
met my grandmother. |

|

|
To
the left, is one of Edward
Percy Elstons Inventions, it
was used in WW2 and was
in the Top Secret Files, it was
for measuring something, not
sure of all the details. |

I
am also looking for Robert
Elston, Edward Percys other
son, he was younger than
Eddie, Edward was still married
to Roberts mother when he died,
think she was Catholic and didn't
want a divorce. Roberts mother
may have moved to Torquay or
Paynton and bought a hotel, I
don't know her name, I think she
may have also worked for
Wolverhamptons' Express &
Star. Robert was probably born
in Wolverhampton, or another part
of the Midlands (not definate). |

Photo of Robert Elston, to the right.
I am interested in hearing from
anyone with any information
at all, about any of the above
or other relevant info, I
would love to find out
about where they are now,
where they were known
last, any children they might
have, and grandchildren, absolutely
anything, from past or present.
