Goodmayes Community Festival was a success! | Submitted: 07 Jun 2001 | The festival, lasting a week and held in Goodmayes Park, was organised by LifeLine Community Church and provided young people and parents entertainment. In the afternoon was a Kids Xpresss roadshow with 100 people turning up each day. Evenings had an Alien Invasion, a music and dance event, attracting 200 a night. The BBC were down to film a works record attempt for Record Breakers. The records attempted inclided rice eating, the number of people passing an orange and for playing Jenga.
