A letter to Ilford is worth £500!! | Submitted: 16 Jun 2002 | A letter dated in 1911 sent to Mrs Noble in Colenso Road, Seven Kings is expected to reach £500 at auction. It came from Tuvalu in the West Pacific, formally the Ellice Islands. It is so valuable because there was a stamp shortage at the time and was marked with ink marks instead and that there is very litle mail from the Ellice Islands in existance. My financial advice to you, dear readers, is to save all thouce council tax, gas and electric bills, for you never know, in 91 years you could be a millionnaire.
