Ways to Volunteer
Whether you have an hour or two available to volunteer every few months or can offer a regular weekly commitment, there are a number of ways you can volunteer.
Support Us
You can get involved in many ways! From becoming a Sea Ranger, a Friend of Sea Rangers, or by sponsoring us on a local or national level.

Welcome to the Sea Rangers Website

Members of Sea Rangers take part in a variety of exciting activities at their regular meetings, and at special events or holidays. Between the ages of 9 and 13 girls are ‘Cadet Sea Rangers’, and from 13 to 21 are ‘Sea Rangers’. There are also opportunities to become Adult Officers and Helpers.

We have many experiences exclusive to Sea Rangers. As well as learning how to be safe on the water and the skills needed to go boating in the summer months, the girls get involved with community action projects and non-nautical activities such as swimming, camping, climbing, team-building, orienteering and competitions. Members are also able to take part and gain national governing body qualifications or awards; Royal Yachting Association, British Canoe Union, First Aid and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

We have a support network for our Officers and adult helpers within our Flotilla structure, where they can seek advice and training support.

Friends of Sea Rangers

We want to say a massive thank you to our Friends of Sea Rangers, who offer such incredible support to the Association. We hope 2022 will be the year we see more new Friends joining and supporting Sea Rangers.

Support Sea Rangers and know you are helping us ensure our Officers, Rangers and Cadets have exceptional opportunities to develop their nautical skills, build their self confidence and make life long friends.

As a Friend you will also receive our Sea Ranger News (electronically or in the post) and be the first to hear about any plans we have for reunions or events.

You can find out more by emailing our Friends secretary Bethany friends@searangers.org.uk
