Hello All Does anyone know whether Backtrax Records which was located in the Pioneer Market has moved to anywhere else nearby or did it close down for good? Thanks Neil

Hello Neil. I don't know the answer to your question I'm afraid, but assume you have done a search on the net for them?

If the company still exists then it would be listed on the yellow pages website and the thompson local directory website, unfortunately backtrax is not listed on either. Here is a link for "Backtrax Mail Order",which specialises in the same sort of thing that the shop you mention used to do.I dont know if is anything to do with Backtrax records, that used to be in Pioneer Market, but its worth a go contacting them,You got nothing to lose!!! Here are their details: http://secure.vip-24.com/trader.asp?Trader=83

I don't think that Ilford has even got a 'record' shop anymore. You can buy CDs in WH Smiths and Woolies, but that's rather limited. Does anyone else remember Ron's Music Stores in the Pioneer Market?

There is a second hand record store in Romford, plus a few proper 'record'/CD shops. I still love looking through old vinyl albums and 45s.

When I was a milkman I used to have my morning cuppa and cheese roll in Dave's Cafe. Still buy the odd vinyl LP if it's in good nick, with decent equipment vinyl sounds far better than CD's. Still got a couple of records I bought in Ron's in the Pioneer Market. First 45 I ever bought was "Great Balls of Fire"...Pete.

She didn't make that quote Feenix.I think that can be attributed to Jerry Lee lewis after he'd finished bonking his 13 year old cousin.
