I put the above link to those that wish to read it. If you do not then do not click on it. It is not my opinions, but an article from the BBC website. About how smoking (MIGHT) affect others.  It includes a responce from ASH and from FOREST.  Feel free to visit if you wish.

The subject is going to run and run.  Unfortunately, it boils down to freedom of choice in the end. There are worse things you could do to your child after all.  That is not my argument, that is just a point I'm making.

It is all about personal choice there are plenty of people that have no intention of stopping as they enjoy it too much regardless of the health risks, and i think thats down to the individual. My father is anti smoking which is kinda hypocrytical as he used to smoke years back, hes one of them annoying people that lets out an artificial exaggerated cough when hes around people that smoke. You know the type i mean dont ya

Was it around the first world war that smoking became fashionable and that u could buy cigarettes pre rolled, rather than smoking tobacco from a pipe or rolling one yourself?

I know my grandfather used to smoke Woodbines (or something like that) in his youth and he was born close to the start of the 20th century!  Smoked all his life, grows his veggies next to a stack of asbestos and is fit as a fiddle!

In the '70's, my Mother used to smoke pink fags - anyone remember them?  This was when she was going through her "Saturday Night Fever" phase...

Hey Sky, you nicked Groucho Marx's line back there!!  Now they were really funny.....I like Dennis Leary too - very clever guy. Jackie Mason is the master of stand-up though, I think.

Blimey Iain, you do have issues with smoking in front of kids don't you?   As I said, I'm not for it but there are worse things you could do to a child.  Just ask Michael Jackson lol!  That is a topical joke, people.

I have a theory, that children whose parents smoke usually end up non-smokers, but children whose parents do not smoke often end up smokers themselves.  This is true of me and my brothers (although none of us smoke any more) and many of my friends as I was growing up.
